Science
Brona is a science communicator with a strong editorial background and project management experience in the field of public engagement. Working with molecular biologists across Europe, she has developed a number of communications initiatives to engage public audiences in biomedical science. She designs and develops Fabrics of Life projects that creatively engage audiences from schoolchildren to senior citizens. Projects range from schemes that pair up professionals in science and the arts to initiatives that engage young minds in the wonders of discovery. Past engagement projects have culminated in exhibitions and public events at venues including the Institute of Contemporary Arts, Royal Albert Hall and the Science Museum’s Dana Centre. Brona also writes popular science articles both freelance and in-house for the MRC Clinical Sciences Centre and has developed and managed a number of websites that make science accessible to everyone. Her current interests include the use of social media channels, animation and games in public engagement.
