Islington Folk Club – EP launch

Beidh Aonach Amarach is a popular children’s song often sung at Irish language weekends. Versions have been recorded by the Cassidys on Singing from Memory and by Altan on The Best of Altan. The Rún version is inspired by all that is childlike and the simple, but evocative rendition by Joe Heaney.

The EP includes:

Beidh aonach amárach/There’s a fair tomorrow

Casadh an tSúgáin/Twisting the hayrope

An Cailín Rua/The red-haired girl

Amhrán Fosuíochta/Herding song

Bodach/Bogeyman
